Dunskey Estate Cinematic Wedding Film || Art from a Life Well Lived – Arielle & Jonathon

Some love stories unfold like a perfectly composed melody—each note building on the last, harmonizing in ways that feel both natural and extraordinary. Arielle and Jon’s wedding was one such masterpiece, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Dunskey Estate, a sought-after destination for luxury Scottish weddings. Their wedding wasn’t just an event—it was a symphony of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments, where every detail played its part in crafting a truly immersive experience.

From the intimate Ketubah ceremony in the Velvet Upperground to their vows exchanged beneath the whispering trees, their wedding weekend was filled with moments that resonated like a favourite song—rich with emotion, layered with meaning, and impossible to forget. As a musician, Jon understands that the most powerful performances aren’t just about the notes but the feeling behind them—and that sentiment was woven into every aspect of their celebration.

The Wedding Experience at Dunskey

Dunskey Estate was the dream location for their wedding, chosen for its stunning landscapes, enchanting woodland, and the intimate yet grand atmosphere it provided. Arielle and Jon wanted their guests to feel completely immersed in a weekend of celebration, relaxation, and connection—and that’s exactly what they achieved.

The Day Unfolds:

Morning Preparations

The excitement in the air was palpable as Arielle and Jon prepared for their big day in separate quarters of the estate. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, laughter and happy tears set the tone for what was to come.

Ketubah Ceremony

Arielle and Jon chose to honour their Jewish heritage with a deeply personal Ketubah ceremony, held in the opulent Velvet Upperground. In an intimate setting, they signed their marriage contract—a beautiful moment of commitment and tradition before stepping into the woods for their vows.

Woodland Ceremony

As guests arrived at the secluded ceremony site, a hush fell over the crowd. Towering trees, soft rustling leaves, and delicate floral arrangements created a truly ethereal setting. Led by Cantor Josh Goldberg, the ceremony was a heartfelt blend of tradition and individuality, featuring multiple readings from loved ones.

Jon’s emotions were undeniable as he watched Arielle walk down the natural aisle, golden light filtering through the trees. Later that afternoon, in an unplanned but deeply touching moment, Jon performed his song for Arielle once more—this time, as her husband.

Cocktails & Dinner

The celebration seamlessly transitioned into a sophisticated yet relaxed cocktail hour. Guests sipped on bespoke cocktails, soaking in the beauty of Dunskey before heading into the grand reception hall. Dinner was a feast—a mix of elegant courses and comforting flavours that reflected Arielle and Jon’s love for food. Heartfelt toasts, tears, and roaring laughter filled the air as their nearest and dearest shared memories and well-wishes.

Dancing & Fireworks

As the sun set over the estate, the dance floor came alive with the energy of Killer City Sound, setting the perfect soundtrack for an unforgettable night. Arielle and Jon’s first dance was a tender, intimate moment before they let loose with their guests. At 11pm, the night sky erupted in a spectacular fireworks display—a breathtaking finale to a day that was nothing short of magical.

Why Video Matters

For Arielle and Jon, having a wedding film wasn’t just about capturing how their day looked—it was about preserving how it felt. Just as a song carries emotion in every note, their wedding film captures the rhythm of the day—the soaring crescendos of laughter, the quiet pauses of love-filled glances, and the deep, resonant moments that define their story.

Their love story, set against the wild beauty of Dunskey, now lives on as a cinematic masterpiece. Like a perfectly mixed track, the wedding film blends raw, live moments with refined artistry, creating something uniquely powerful. The heartfelt live performance of Jon’s song is woven into the fabric of their film, much like a chorus that lingers in the mind long after the music fades. It’s these little details—woven together through sight and sound—that make a wedding film truly timeless.

Arielle and Jon’s wedding at Dunskey was more than just an event—it was an experience, an expression of who they are and the love they share. Through our lens, we had the honour of preserving their story, capturing every beautifully unscripted moment that made their day uniquely theirs.

Finding the Perfect Wedding Venue at Dunskey Estate

Dunskey Estate provided the perfect setting for their romantic woodland wedding, offering stunning natural scenery, luxurious accommodations, and an intimate atmosphere ideal for couples seeking a truly immersive destination wedding in Scotland.

Arielle and Jon’s journey began in the digital realm of OkCupid, where their shared love for music, adventure, and spontaneous laughter set the foundation for their relationship. Jon, a passionate musician, and Arielle, a lover of travel and animals, quickly discovered that they complemented each other perfectly.

Jon’s proposal was nothing short of cinematic. Under the guise of a ‘private gig’ in Topanga Canyon, he led Arielle to an intimate setting adorned with flowers and candlelight. As she looked around, he performed an original song before getting down on one knee. To make the moment even more magical, he had arranged a surprise dinner with their families. A love story this heartfelt deserved a wedding just as enchanting.

Jon and I have now watched the film three times with different family members, and have sent the link to other family and friends. The universal feedback is that the film is incredibly professional, captured the feelings of the day so perfectly, and is generally a piece of art. It’s just not a traditional “wedding video” - it’s stylistically brilliant. Especially the ending where Jon jumps up and then it cuts to black—WOW. Thank you so so much for helping us preserve our most special memories.

When we were planning the wedding initially we actually opted not to book a videographer and then Lauren saw your work popping up a lot on Insta and FB and showed me. I was still a little bit unsure but after having you both there on the day and watching this back, I am (we are) just over the moon we booked you. Our family love the video.

So thank you both so much. The day wouldn’t have been the same without you both there and the video honestly couldn’t be more perfect!
